Hey!

I'm Emmalee and I am from a small city in Northern Ontario, Canada. For the last 4 years, I have been living in Canada's capital city, Ottawa. I also spent 1 full year in the south of Germany during my Bachelors degree.

Now, as of January I will be living in Paris, France for my next adventure. Unfortunately at this time I will not be able to host, but I would love to meet up with you! :)

Some other things about me: I love to learn languages and learn about your culture. I have visited over 20 countries so far, and I can't wait to learn about your traditions !
I love music, all types. I listen to anything and everything and almost always have some sort of music playing.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think connecting with locals and seeing how they live is much more worthwhile than staying in a fancy hotel and seeing only the tourist sights. I prefer to learn about cuisine, language, and of course culture.

My travel style is very laid-back and I generally like to walk around the city, learn about the history, and explore cafés, restaurants and bars. I think connecting with people on Couchsurfing is perfect for that.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: Music has always been a huge part of my life. I started playing the piano when I was very young (though don't really play anymore), and started with guitar when I was about 15. I love to listen to all kinds of music (including international).

Movies: Love foreign films, some of my favourite movies are Les Choristes, Das Leben der Anderen and the Sound of Music.

Books: I love love love to read, I have so many books it's kind of ridiculous. Though since being in university I haven't had as much time to "read for fun" as I'd like.

When I was 16 I did an exchange in France and that's when my curiosity about the world began !

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach you english, and help with german or french (about B2). I would love to learn as many languages as I can (even just simple phrases). I can also teach you how to make typical Canadian food dishes!
