About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy discussing travel experiences with likeminded people, either at home or overseas.
ABOUT ME
Hi, we have recently moved to Orange NSW to be closer to grandkids. Denis has travelled throughout Australia over the years and has a love of the Australian bush. He enjoys motorcycles, birds and the Australian back country. Heather travelled many years ago in Europe, Russia and North Africa for Contiki tours. Heather previously worked for Charles Sturt University as a Campus Manager in Dubbo NSW and Burlington Ontario Canada. We both love meeting interesting people.
PHILOSOPHY
To enjoy our own form of art, to enjoy and appreciate the beautiful countryside around us and to share our lifestyle with an ale or a wine with likeminded travellers in our home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have now Couch Surfed in Canada, the U.S. and the UK and have had the greatest time!!. Our experiences by both hosting and surfing have been unforgetable. We have made so many friends with the same values as us. In the future, hopefully, we will attract young and older travelers over the blue mountains and away from the Australian coast to visit a country destination.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We are now experienced Couch Surfers, by hosting and surfing (we hope we are anyway!). In all of our travel experiences we have been fortunate enough to meet some amazing people and also have seen some beautiful country that our hosts have recommended for us to visit. Our best experiences have happened when we have stayed (or hosted guests) for two or three nights, one night is just not enough to get to know each other.
Interests
Denis likes to draw interesting bush subjects, gardening and woodworking projects. Heather dabbles in creating stained glass, Japanese embroidery, learning to play Bridge and plays Pickleball twice a week . Both enjoy photography.
