About Me

I am a teacher of English as a second language and I'm lucky enough to teach young children who love to learn!

I love going on adventures and spending time by the sea with my friends. I love meeting new people, both Chileans and foreigners. I've been lucky enough to meet new people everyday, specially exchange students from all over the world who unconsciously connect me to Chileans with whom I've created amazing friendships. I'm a person who's always down for outdoor activities and loves being in touch with nature. I enjoy the subtleties of life.
I'm very positive, open-minded, friendly, empathetic, and chill.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined the Couchsurfing community in 2017 when a friend of mine told me about it because we were about to travel together to some cities in the USA. In that time, it sounded risky for me but later I understood that it was an amazing experience. I have couchsurfed twice, once in NYC and the second one in Las Vegas, where my host became one of my best friends and I could visit her again a few months ago and she's visiting me in March of 2020. Can't wait!
Currently, I'm in Couchsurfing again because I'm making my biggest dream come true by getting to have the trip of a lifetime in Europe. Even though I'm visiting many friends who live in different cities of the continent they don't live in some cities that I want to visit as well, such as Paris, Barcelona, Berlín, etc where I'll be by myself. I've always enjoyed being alone but at the same time, I'm a veeeery social person who is enjoying knowing every culture and regards everything that is part of it as a treasure. It is for the just mentioned reason, that I'd love to share the time that I have in some cities with locals while I'm traveling. I don't like to be a simple tourist person, I like to have the real experience of the city or country, seeing how locals live and trying to learn the most of it to expand my knowledge about the world.

NOTE: I've never been lucky enough to be, formally, thankful about being part of the couchsurfing community since my roommates don't feel comfortable with it as we don't share the same way of thinking, however, since 2017 I've welcomed a great part of the exchange students who come to Concepción, Chile, and supported them in their first months, I've hosted many while they look for a place to live and I'm always willing to help in this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exploring Arizona and Utah's wonderful landscapes.
On 2017 I hiked for 4 hours a snowed mountain, without knowing the path, just following the footprints, and with no appropriate gear, camped on the snow and woke up to a shiny morning to continue hiking till getting to our destination, a breath-taking lagoon in the top of the mountain. It was an amazing experience that taught me that I was capable of everything in life and most important... it gave me amazing mountain friends: 2 Americans, 1 Germans and 2 Chileans, who later became my best friends.
