About Me
Hey there! Welcome to my profile!
I'm from Turkey and now doing an exchange semester in Vienna after studying in Poland for two years.
I made the best decision of my life when I decided to go abroad in summer 2022. It changed my life and I believe I'm a different person now. Traveling has become my biggest passion.
I'm seeking to learn from people who have walked different paths in life. I aspire to pursue a career in language education or the tourism sector, where I can share my passion for languages and cultures :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet people from different cultures and broaden my horizons. I also like trying traditional food, admiring local architecture, etc. But there's nothing more valuable for me than making meaningful connections with other adventurers and learn from them.
My dad is a member of Workaway and hosts volunteers in our farm house in Western Turkey. One of his guests introduced me to Couchsurfing and I loved the idea.
I've been using it for almost two years now and had truly memorable experiences I couldn't have had otherwise. It feels great to be a part of this network.
I owe so much to this community. Can't wait for the day when I'll start living in an apartment and be able to invite people. It's not possible when I'm living in a dorm room :(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Having a party on New Year's Eve with a Ukrainian family in an American's house in Warsaw, Poland.
A friend of mine had been hosting the Ukrainian family for some time. I'd come by for a few days to see my friend. He'd gone to his parents' house to celebrate the New Year. The Ukrainian family treated me as if I were their child, even though we'd met only a day before that night. I got to try traditional Ukrainian food and play some games with the family. Still have a vivid memory of that night 😅
Teach, Learn, Share
I am currently learning German (borderline conversational) and Polish (beginner) and would like to improve my proficiency in both.
I'm a big fan of board games and card games🃏🎲, such as Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Power Grid, Alhambra, Space Base, Splendor, Dixit, Wavelength, Coup. If you have one of these games, it'd be fun to play together. If you have a game other than these, that's even better. I'd love to learn it.
I can teach the fundamentals of chess♟️. Although I'm not very good at it, I can share the essential principles and concepts to help you get started.
I’m enthusiastic about basketball🏀, tennis🎾, and table tennis🏓, and I like imparting my knowledge of these sports to others. I’d love to play with anyone interested.
I absolutely love playing pool (aka billiards)🎱. It's one of my favorite leisure activities. I'm happy to teach anyone who wants to learn, and I’d also enjoy playing with those who are already familiar with the game.
I started indoor climbing 🧗some time ago and am somewhat familiar with bouldering and top roping. I'm eager to improve and would love to practice with others.
We have a big farm in Manisa, Turkey (near Izmir)🪿🐐🍓🌽. So I'm into gardening/farming. Learning how it works as much as I can. I'm definitely not as knowledgeable as my parents but there are still some things I can pass on to you if you want.
I absolutely adore cats and dogs🐶🐱. Have taken care of many of them for years. I've lost count honestly. Can share my knowledge on how to look after a cat or dog.
Trying to get better at cooking🍳. I'd appreciate recipes, tips, and anything helpful about cooking or even baking.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Language and cultural exchange, my travel stories, positivity. We can explore different places together.
I’m always happy to lend a hand with housework like cooking🍳, cleaning🧹, washing dishes🧽, and doing laundry.
I can make Turkish coffee for you☕. I wouldn't expect my hosts to have the coffee or the small metal pot used for preparing it. But I always carry them during my trips. I got you covered :)
