When I think of couchsurfing I don't think of "staying for free in some strangers place". I think of the many people I get to know. The locals , their lifestyle, their personal philosophy, their hobbies and especially their food.

The Next big plus of this super community is, that you can see the "hidden" corners of places and cities which you would never see as a "normal" foreign tourist.
