About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I'm currently a student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where I study the classical guitar. I love music, languages, literature, and learning as much as I can. I have also recently discovered a passion for people, where they come from, how they arrived at where they are today, where they are going, etc. In life we can learn so much from another's experience simply by inquiring.

PHILOSOPHY

At the moment I think education is the most important thing for this world (besides love, family, and friends of course).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently joined because I will be traveling in Europe this summer! At the moment I can't really host anyone because of my living situation ... but I really look forward to, hopefully starting in the fall! What a great way to practice language, learn about another place, broaden your horizons ...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none so far ... but I hope this will change in the next two months !!

Interests

I really enjoy language; I speak Spanish and a little bit of Italian and would like to study French too at some point. I love practicing my Spanish and Italian with people !! I definitely love the guitar and music in general, and I like playing with other people and learning how they understand music, how they approach their instrument. I really believe education is the most precious thing and that one can learn from every situation and every person. I love to play soccer and ping pong too!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close; Everything Is Illuminated (Jonathan Safran Foer) / Heart of Darkness (Joseph Conrad) / Moby Dick (Herman Melville) /

Music - I actually don't like this question ... I like a lot of music!

Movies - I love movies, I really like so many ... a few from various genres are The Lives of Others, The Great Escape, The Birdcage, and The Hangover!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say many amazing things I have seen have been musical performances and natural landscapes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share music! I love talking with other musicians of any kind. It's fascinating to know the various ways we can approach music, and it's always fun to learn about a new genre or one I'm not so familiar with! I am working towards a Bachelors degree in Guitar Performance and actually have a few years teaching experience. Teaching is definitely a great way to learn. Sharing music is another as well!

Additionally, I love practicing Spanish and Italian, and I really enjoy speaking English with people who are learning. The best is when we can switch back and forth from English to Spanish, or English to Italian!
