Overview
About Me
In October 2022, a freak accident with a glass door changed my life when I lost part of my leg below the knee. But here’s the thing: the real barriers are in the mind, not the body. With my prosthetic leg and robotic foot, I’m living life to the fullest—driving down open roads, camping in the mountains, and finding adventure around every corner.
I’m not your typical host. I’m a free spirit by choice, a gentleman by principle, a passionate explorer at heart, and a natural thinker who always enjoys deep conversations. If you’re up for some great stories, laughter, and a bit of off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A few years ago, while in the Dominican Republic, I had an amazing experience when I met three guys from Europe who were on vacation. I connected with them, became their host, and took them around the city, showing them the best of what the country has to offer. It was such a memorable time that I’d love to recreate it, but this time with you staying at my place so I can personally show you just how beautiful my country truly is.
Interests
I’m passionate about ecotourism, where I can explore the beauty of nature and immerse myself in unique, untouched environments. Adrenaline-fueled activities are my way of embracing challenges and pushing my limits, always seeking that thrill. At the same time, I love the strategic depth of chess, which allows me to sharpen my mind and enjoy a good mental challenge. Meeting new people from diverse backgrounds excites me, as I value building connections and exchanging ideas. Family is incredibly important to me, as it grounds me and gives meaning to my life. In my quiet moments, I enjoy diving into a good book, getting lost in new worlds and perspectives. Above all, I appreciate being true to myself, whether I’m surrounded by nature or spending quality time with those I care about.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like reggaeton and dembow, as they bring energy and rhythm to my life. When it comes to movies, I’m drawn to those that keep me guessing, the ones that surprise me and defy my expectations—I love movies that I can’t figure out easily, as they keep me engaged from start to finish.
Two books that have profoundly impacted my life are The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. The Power of Now taught me the immense value of being present and truly living in the moment. It completely shifted how I approach life, allowing me to break free from the constant overthinking of the past or the future. Now, I focus more on experiencing peace and mindfulness in the present moment, understanding that true power lies in that focus.
On the other hand, The 48 Laws of Power gave me a deep insight into human nature, strategy, and navigating the complexities of power dynamics in both personal and professional relationships. It’s not just a guide for influence, but a tool that helps me understand the motives and behaviors of others while staying authentic to myself. These two books have shaped how I perceive success, personal growth, and interactions with the world, pushing me to be more mindful, strategic, and self-aware in everything I do. They are more than just books—they are life-altering guides that continue to influence my mindset and decisions every day.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once had the intense and humbling experience of saving someone's life from drowning. It was a moment that caught me off guard, but instinct and quick thinking took over. When I saw the guy struggling in the water, panic setting in, I knew there wasn’t time to hesitate. Without a second thought, I jumped in, battling against the current to reach him. Every second felt like an eternity as I focused on keeping him calm and pulling him to safety. It wasn’t just about physical strength—it was about staying composed and ensuring he didn’t sink further into panic. Once we made it to shore, the relief that washed over me was indescribable.
In that moment, I realized how fragile life can be and how, with swift action, we can make a profound difference in someone else's life. It wasn’t just about saving a life that day—it was a reminder of the responsibility we carry for one another, especially in unexpected situations. That experience left a lasting mark on me, reinforcing the importance of being prepared for anything and the incredible value of stepping up when someone is in need.
Teach, Learn, Share
My language and culture, and yours, blending together to create something unique. Through meaningful conversations, exploring different traditions, and exchanging our personal stories, we can dive deep into each other’s worldviews. This isn’t just about learning from one another—it’s about crafting new, shared experiences that leave a lasting impact, opening doors to new perspectives and unforgettable moments. Together, we can create memories that go beyond borders and cultures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We’ll guide you through some of the most interesting and vibrant spots in Santo Domingo, ensuring you experience the best the city has to offer. If the timing works out, we might even spend a weekend at my parents' summer house in the beautiful beach town of Juan Dolio. Additionally, I have access to incredible homes in Samaná and Jarabacoa, owned by a friend, which we can use depending on availability. I can host you for up to 3 nights, with meals included during your stay at my house (meals not included if we go out). Wherever we go, you’re welcome to join us at no cost. The only expenses you’ll need to cover are entrance fees to certain attractions or gas if we travel outside of Santo Domingo. Other than that, you won’t have to pay for anything.
