About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Collaborative Consumption: Live-Work-TRAVEL-Learn-Play (LW-T-LP) environment / lifestyle / system

ABOUT ME

Semi-retired. Actively exploring the practice of Collaborative Consumption (What's Mine is yOURS by Rachel Botsman & Roo Rogers)as an alternative social economic eco-system.

I am also involved in developing Live-Work-Learn-Play (LWLP)(now upgraded or enhanced to Live-Work-Travel-Learn-Play or LW-T-LP) environment / lifestyle / system that encourages the integration / balance of Live-Work-Travel-Learn-Play, in the spirit of "sharing is better than ownership".

PHILOSOPHY

Integration of Live-Work-Travel-Learn-Play (LWTLP) in an alternative social economic model (PLAN B?) that gives emphasis to the Triple-Bottom-Line (Economy-Ecology-Equity).

I am developing the SOHO Technology 3.0 methodology (in the form / format of SOHO*land), comprising of the Grass-Root-Philosophy (GRP) and the Global-Business-Plan (GBP) that give prominence to Soil, Sun and Soul that leads to Sun, Sea, Sand and Sauna (Health-Wealth-Happiness), via Social-Environmental-Entrepreneurship (SEE)!

Truly Collaborative Consumption in spirit and practice.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch-space for "traveling nomads" in my Live-Work-Travel-Learn-Play (LW-T-LP) environment / lifestyle / system known as Hypercube @ Soholand, plus easy access to traditional village nearby, jungle hiking trails and waterfalls etc.

Couchsurfers (while staying FOC) are required to comply with / follow rules and regulations governing guests of home-stay program (such as producing passport upon checking in etc.).

Of course, I am also learning to be a good couch-surfer / guest some day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Learning to be a good host initially.

I run a home-stay program (don't worry: couchsurfing is free; even free upgrade if you are lucky) that encourages Live-Work-Travel-Learn-Play (LW-T-LP). CouchSurfing (as a host) could be a social contribution that could be truly supplementary and complementary in the LWLP environment.

Couchsurfers (while staying FOC) are required to comply with / follow rules and regulations governing guests of home-stay program (such as producing passport upon checking in etc.).

If you are looking for a safe sanctuary, you might want to consider my place as a Sanctuary for single female travelers / backpackers / nomads / travelpreneurs / etc., as they are generally more exposed to hazards.

Interests

Biking and reading

Music, Movies & Books

Rachel Botsman & Roo Rogers, " What's Mine Is yOURS" (The Rise of Collaborative Consumption) is my bible / guide book.

I really like this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbRUsYtZ2fs#t=236

One Amazing Thing I've Done

(1) Creation of Bio-char (biological charcoal)(via pot-within-a-pot)
(2) Contrast of the Big Self and the Small Self.(really also a-pot-within-a-pot)

These give rise to the awareness that everything is in a pot within a pot within a pot ... infinity!!

This is also a good way to describe / define a "holon". Everything is "always partial, already whole" or "box-in-a-box-in-a-box" (Bibib). We are inter-connected and inter-dependent ... essentially Connecting Cosmically!

Teach, Learn, Share

Collaborative Consumption: skill-shares, space-shares, tool-shares, time-shares, equity-shares etc. etc.

Countries I've Visited

Australia, China, Italy, Japan, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, United States, Vatican City State, Viet Nam

Countries I've Lived In

China, Malaysia, Singapore, Viet Nam
