I grew up in Seattle, USA. Before moving to Berlin, Germany in 2015, I spent a lot of years traveling around the US and in Asia. I moved to Germany after finishing high school to work as an Au-pair. I enjoyed my experience in Berlin so much that I continued working as an aupair and applied for school, in hopes I could stay in Europe. Luckily my sister moved to Vienna and I joined her and was accepted by a college to study graphic design where I currently do my studies. Since 2015 I've traveled quite a bit around Europe but the most fun I have is meeting the different people along the way. I have friends that live all around the world and have experienced so many things that would've never happened if I had stayed in the US. I don't know if I'll live in Europe forever but I'll certainly go wherever the wind takes me. Since I was younger I always enjoyed drawing and painting, I still thoroughly enjoy traditional art although I study graphic design. You can always find me outside with my sketchbook and pens, drawing whatever I see or whatever comes to mind. I also can play basic guitar, ukulele and violin. You can see pictures of my travels on my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/erkafsher/

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting people from around the world and to share travelling experiences. I love meeting locals and getting to know places locals visit rather than only the most common places for tourists.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to different kinds of music, depends on the mood/situation. My favorite movie genre is science fiction, I'm a huge fan of Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. Studio Ghibli movies will always hold a special place in my heart since it was such a big part of my childhood I'm not a big reader but I would have to say my favorite book is The Martian.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
When I was in Cambodia, I was given the opportunity to paint a mural in a village nearby Phnom Penh
What I Can Share With Hosts
I've traveled to about 30 countries and have at least a few stories and tips/reccommendations from all of the them. I also have a huge love for cooking so I don't mind making a few meals for everyone during my stay!
