About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give up any kind of obsession

ABOUT ME

I came to the US in August 2011 to study disaster relief. I'm always slightly homesick. I've been traveling a lot, mostly in East & South East Asia. Traveling is my life. I'm always crazy busy but I'll make every effort to make time to meet couchsurfers. I believe time is not something you have or don't have, but something to make or find. I love, love, love to host people!!!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm seeking a way of living without obsession to anything. My ideal is to live like a river, whose only constant is change.

Interests

I love: skiing/snowboarding, traveling, hiking, camping, sleeping in a sleeping bag, insects(especially spiders, but also love pitcher plants), geckos, salamanders, newts, bogs, traditional cow/elephant bells in the world, hitchhiking, watching stupid comedy movies on long-distance busses in the world with local people without knowing their language, elephant and horse, hosting and feeding people

Music, Movies & Books

MoviesSpotless Mind of Eternal Sunshine. 500 days of Summer. Girl, Interrupted. Great Expectations.MusicM.I.A. Freshlyground. Ke$ha. K'NAAN. Jason Mraz

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Mastered how to use public transportation in Burma (it wasn't really easy) Pony-back riding along the edge of the cliff in Zimbabwe -for 2 hours!

Teach, Learn, Share

I always have a loooooooooong list of "things I want to learn" and it only gets longer.I can teach:Skiing/snowboardingJapanese cooking (especially Shojin cuisine (Buddhist vegan food). I'd be VERY happy to show the world sushi is not the only Japanese food.)Many couchsurfers asked me to teach meditation, but I have no idea how to 'teach' meditation... But if you want, I may be able to help you to start practicing.I want to learn:ayurveda, yoga, cultures, religions & languages of the world, how to fix a car (although I don't have a car here), survival tips in case I get lost in snow mountains or middle of ocean (I seriously wanna learn this, please), communication with short-tempered people, etc...I'm happy to share most of the things if I like you! I want to be a truly generous person who share everything even with someone I don't like sometime in the future, but I'm not that matured yet so far...
