About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Live Dreams. Which includes pursuing a bachelor's degree in either psychology, music, or both. Maybe massage therapy too. Hey look a squirrel!

PHILOSOPHY

To experience and understand the true nature of being human in the universe(s) we live in, and understand that everything arises and passes. Everything physical is temporal and in flux. Craving, aversion, desire, and attachment to name a few, are all roads to suffering. Fantasies on the other hand are fantasies, as long as we understand the nature of the universe and don't attach the mind to a particular outcome, then fantasies can be experienced.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surf, host, meet, and be respectful of the code of conduct and help with dishes, rake some leaves, or sweep/vacuum. With respect and willingness to serve a great experience for both host(s) and hosted can be achieved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can't remember, the first time I heard about this great resource, but it's a great idear. The first time I hosted surfers was with my significant other at the time. It was a great experience, We hosted, for about a week, four people total: two people from Louisiana, one from Korea, and one from Columbia. They were all traveling together raising funds to do some non-profit work in South Africa. It was great learning about everyone's life stories and who were without them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. Dancing to the sounds of live bands that draw influences from afro-beat, funk, and reggae, and other similar groove oriented styles. I can get down and cut the grass or rug with some electronic music styles as well. Rocking out to Liquid Tension Experiment has happened a few times this year, and I am not ashamed. Classical has it's moments, and jazz. I'll get down with some country, old thyme, post civil war medicine show music, and many other genres. Good music is good music.

Books I've recently read or have my head in:

Do What You Love the Money Will Follow

Rolling Thunder

Jitterbug Perfume

The Story of B

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the full grace and glory of a long haired me many years ago whilst in the Grand Canyon, I stood in my birthday suit. My hair flowed in the wind on a precipice on the Bright Angel Trail overlooking that majestic river carved expanse. Down the trail, a group of one inch tall men cat called. Needless to say, I waited for them to to make their way up the trail, so I too could cat call them.

Teach, Learn, Share

Having spent many years in restaurants I love helping people in their own kitchens or learning from the. Whether it is setting it up for better flow, showing them how to hold and use a knife (how to sharpen it, probably the most essential part of knife use), sanitization, dish washing techniques, recipes, cooking techniques, etc. I love sharing, teaching, and learning in the kitchen, for it's something everyone has to do. Well, maybe not the 1%, and it's probably the root of all of their problems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good stories, good food, and good times.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Cayman Islands, Mexico, Philippines
