Love company and food. Eat a mostly Vegetarian diet.
Don't smoke, social drinker
Strong interest in sustainability and living a happy life without a lot of material clutter
Moving to downtown Toronto as I feel it's a city that integrates well with my values (mixed use, walkability)
I bike everywhere.
I'm always ready to talk about living ones dreams, bikes, and all things green.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed couches on and off of CS since '07. Have always had a great time/ Have attended CS events in three countries, and organized CS events in two. Community is important to me,(I lived in a co-op for two years.) Similar to couchsurfing, I've wwoofed as well.(Willing Workers on Organic Farms)

Favorite Music:

I find this hard to do. It's rare that I will find music that I don't like. Here's a brief cross-section.

Air, Bad Religion, Boards of Canada, Cake, Chicane, Citizen Cope, The Cranberries, The Doors, E Nomine, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, Kosheen, Led Zeppelin, Loreena Mckennit, Metric, M83, Our Lady Peace, Pink Floyd, Rush, Sigor Ros, Simon & Garfunkel, The Strokes, U2, Within Temptation and Yann Tiersen.

I also enjoy all sorts of classical music, jazz and folk music as well. I hope to learn to play a few instruments in future.

Favorite TV Shows:

I hardly ever watch TV. When I do, I like something like the discovery channel. I enjoy Mythbusters, Portlandia, got a kick out watching Dollhouse.

Favorite Movies:
I hardly ever watch movies.. but yes, I enjoy them. Little Miss Sunshine, The Corporation, Amelie.. a bunch of others that I can't think of at the moment. I recently saw Slumdog Millionaire and really liked it. I seem to average one movie in theatre a year.

Favorite Books:

"Guns, Germs and Steel":, Walden, Robinson Crusoe, The Swiss Family Robinson, Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina, Anything by Mark Twain, loads of informational non-fiction.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Moved half across the world for a year (twice).
Went to a regional burning man.
Slept comfortably outdoors at 5C under 7 wool blankets.
Met many incredible people across the world.

I am pretty good at fixing bicycles and can definitely teach you how to maintain and repair yours. I'm one of those strange folks that enjoy budgeting. I also like making suggestions to people about how they can reduce their environmental impact. Cooking together is fun too!
