About Me

Easygoing, open-mined, humorous and always up for an interesting conversation or something new to learn.

I'm a nature-lover and tech-geek. Some may think its a contradiction, but I don't see it that way.

Born and raised in Tel Aviv, so I know it quite well.. but as you will learn by yourselves - there's always more (even for me) to find out.

Just started working as a remote "digital nomad". Which basically means I have my work which I can do from anywhere in the world, so I can combine my passions for traveling and work (yes! I love to work... who knew...)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because this is the real way to experience travelling, getting to know the lifestyles of different people and create amazing experiences.

As a surfer, you get to learn and experience the local culture far better than any guidebook.
As a host, you get a chance to spice up your everyday routine and feel as a traveller inside your own city :)

Interests

Traveling!! I'm not sure there's enough space here to write how great traveling is, it opens your mind, heart and rejuvenates you.

Sports! Mens Sana in Corpore Sano :) When I get the chance I love to snowboard or play beach volleyball.. in Israel though you can usually only do the latter... you're most invited to join! Also gotten lately into crossfit and rugby.

I'm interested in ecological lifestyles, and also very fond of wildlife and animals. If I had to classify I'd probably be a cat person.. but I like them all really.

Hmm, did I say something about traveling?

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love movies, almost any genre, especially if they make you start a conversation afterwards... if I had to pick (luckily I don't) I would point out Christopher Nolan, Tarantino, and the younger Tim Burton. I also enjoy TV shows such as True Detective, Sherlock, Oz, The Wire, Westworld...

There's always some kind of music playing in the apartment, I'm very open to different genres from different places, depending on the vibe at that moment. I have a specific soft spot for progressive rock and especially Ayreon :) I specifically love live music, and finding some gig somewhere always makes for a good night out.

Books, books, books... I enjoy both fictions and scientific, a few picks that spring to mind: 1984, Alice in the Wonderland, The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope the most amazing thing is yet to come, but here are a few recommendations:
- Living in a Buddhist monastery for a couple of weeks in China.
- Skydiving in New Zealand.
- Being chased by elephants on safari in Tanzania.
- Wind sailing across the Baltic sea on an old Norwegian boat.
And of course - in every place in the world, finding a clear patch of sky away from the city rumble and look up to the stars.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to do a handstand, cook shakshuka and fold an origami pig.
I guess there are other skills - but those are definitely the most useful ones I hold.
