I come from Azerbaijan and I moved to France for a chance of a better life. I have quite a bit of experience with couchsurfing/helpx in a few countries and several stays in France itself. I have hosted several times in Azerbaijan, so I am quite familiar with the concept and expectations. Graduated from masters in Nantes and am employed in the food industry in Paris. My dream/goal is to one day be part of a community project. I am here to practice the culture of sharing and learn from each other.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing for me is a platform that lets you find like-minded people who can guide you to places you wouldn’t have thought of visiting. You can’t research enough to know the city as a local.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: My topics of interest: psychology/neurology/human behaviour, political philosophy/geopolitics, magical realism, history and culture of agriculture and food Here is a full list of books i have read and would like to read: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list/68046626-farhad-salmanzade?ref=nav_mybooks&shelf=read Music: Italo-Disco, experimental, ambient/minimal, middle-eastern and eastern string instruments, folk music, instrumental hip-hop, electronica, UK garage, reggae etc
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I am pretty sure I know what I want out of life. Don't know if this counts though as I haven't achieved it yet )) I have also done skydiving and bungee jumping. That was awesome. Driving a motorbike through amazing landscapes in Vietnam and Laos, incredible experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like doing small random goodness, whether sharing or helping someone out, even a tiny little bit. Gives both sides a lift in mood win-win!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I am quite a good cook, enjoy deep conversations and can show you around in Paris
My Interests
My primary passion is cooking and everything related to food: fermentation, discovering ingredients, food industry, regenerative agriculture etc. I love spending time in mountains, have walked a lot in different parts of the world but for the last 3 years because of work and education have not been able to do as much. I prefer deep conversation to small talk and although I identify as an introvert, I am easy going and quite talkative if the topic is right, preferably deep discussions rather than small talk. Avid anti-capitalist, I like to keep up to date with world finance and politics and read political theory when I get the time. I also read a lot, maybe too much, on everything concerning human behaviour; nervous system/brain functions, emotions/psychology, sociology/group behaviour.
