ABOUT ME

I have been a member of couchsurfing since February 14, 2005. I am saddened and angered by the sale and exploitation of my community and with that the dilution of it's quality. Fortunately the spirit lives within the people and not within the website. I was glad to have discovered and used the website when I did and maintain many friendships through other social media and continue to host and meet those friends even without the help of the couchsurfing website. It is sad that I won't be able to make new friends though the new, worsened site, but c'est la vie. We evolve. We move on.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I don't know if many other people could understand this:
In October 2005 people came to Montreal from all over the world for a gathering of the people of the couch... most of whom knew eachother through chat already. Online friendships not only endured but were amplified by the real life meetings. I've met some of the most incredible people in the world, in my life, through CS.
