CURRENT MISSION My current mission is to find my mission... Right now, I have been trying to get my mind, spirit, and physical self in shape. ABOUT ME I am a caring, artistic, loving, vegetarian woman who had (I just lost him in July 2006) a cat and loves learning about new things, about people, and new places. I teach and am on call at a hospital with developmental disabled and mentally ill folks. Art is something that calms me when I a have stress. I would like to go to hike Camelback and South Mountain a few times a month but I've gotten sort of lazy, go to see movies, shop, go out to eat--my favorite food is Ethiopian, go to dance occasionally, go out for a coffee. I like to explore Arizona. PHILOSOPHY I care. I think others care too. We just need to find each other and hang out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I let others know that I've had someone visit and tell them where the website is. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I had someone visit who was really cool, but that was before the whole CouchSurfing thing went down.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite books of all time are Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl and The Count of Monte Cristo. Edmond Dantes' thoughts, actions, motives, and emotions are so-well described. My favorite bands are Modest Mouse and REM. Country Feedback, Lotus, or eBow the Letter are some of my favorite REM songs. I like Radiohead, Bright Eyes, Tori Amos, Travis, Morrissey, David Bowie, Ben Lee, Paul Westerberg, Sarah McGlachlan, Weezer and many other bands. My favorite movies are The Fisher King, Amelie, Run Lola Run, Magnolia and Fight Club.

My Interests
I like my mind, body, and soul to be working--running, riding my exercise bike, reading, hiking, learning new things, painting, drawing, writing, trying to dance without falling or hurting anyone one in the process/ordeal, walking, shopping in new places, vacationing, travelling, and other things. I like trying things and doing things that I'm not particularly good at....like bowling. I'm horrible, but I try.
