i try to use network as often as possible, both as guest and host

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- i was a CS myself in Turkey (different places), in Bratislava, Vienna, Madrid, … hope more places will follow
- joined gatherings in Ankara, Istanbul and Hamburg
- hosted in Hamburg; CS from Poland, Australia, Kanada, Turkey, Germany
- now hosting in Stuttgart from time to time …
- luckily met great people and made some friends

an absolutely great experience, i could learn something from all of them, they all give me something on my way … thanks to all of them …

Musik, Filme und Bücher

- there are too many good movies, musicians and authors. to try name some of them, would be respectless to the ones, i still don't know.
- last years i try to read more and more (e.g. orhan pamuk (mein name ist rot, schnee), some literature on migration and travel literature)
- i want to read the newspapers
- in music i'm open to all kind of music, both turkish and world music; but stil there are some kind of music that i generally don't like (e.g. crying into the microphone and the like)
- hmm, movies...i like movies when i can see a clear message, realistic ones, then i can see something human in them. real life stories.
- some good ones i recently watched: uzak/distant (nuri bilge ceylan), caché, die klavierspielerin (michael haneke), duvar/wall (yilmaz güney), zügürt aga (yavuz tugrul), tabut'ta rövasata (dervis zaim), masumiyet/innocence (zeki demirkubuz), der geschmack der kirsche (iranian movie, sorry, don't remember the name)...
- two artists i admire: beckmann and rodin; these are the famous ones, also lots of unknown artists of this world
- i enjoy good galleries and museums focussed on contemporary art
