Hi ! I'm Ferdinand, a 25-year-old traveler who’s looking to explore the diversity of cultures !

I was born in Paris, France and lived in Montreal, Canada for the past two years. I started a hitchhiking trip around the American continent in July 2025 for one year. My goal is to meet all kinds of people along the way to chat, share a hike, share a meal, and let me discover their living environment.

I am a motivated and motivating person, ready for any cultural or sport activities (especially outdoor) but I also like to have good chill conversations and I can spend my time in many personal activities (reading, writing etc...) so I can adapt to any kind of mindsets :)

I also really like to cook so I would be happy to prepare some nice recipes for you if you'd like !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning to go on a hitchhiking trip around the American continent starting July 2025 for one year. On the way, I will need places to sleep for one, two or three nights depending on what people has to offer. I also have a tent I can pitch in a garden or any piece of land.

I believe couchsurfing is the best way to travel slowly, meeting people on the way telling you their stories, seeing and learning different ways of living and being immersed in the culture. That's why this website is so useful :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to every type of music, from classical jazz (joe pass, ted greene) to alternative music, rap, house, techno, country. I especialy love to discover new artists and types !

Particularly love movies such as Dallas Buyers Club, Thelma & Louise and The Grand Budapest Hotel. Among others I am a huge fan of Wes Anderson, Sean Baker and Miyazaki. But once again I am open to any kind of movies to discover.

Special interests for History books but I can read any book I have at hand. One of my favorite is L'Étranger from Albert Camus (a French book).
