It depends so much on the individual book but in general I like classics, short stories and interesting stories about life. Currently I am reading "Berlin Alexanderplatz" by Döblin.
My favorite type of music is probably somewhere between mainstream and folk but some classical tunes are always welcome.
I love the small cinemas and the unknown movies, the ones that show life how it really with all its joy and sadness and ususally not glamorous at all. I just saw the Argentinian movie "un cuento chino".
