About Me
https://www.workaway.info/en/workawayer/FilipeSilvaPereira/overview
Hi!
I’m Filipe, and I'm now about to travel around the world in 2026. I’m a digital nomad (math and french teacher and writer). I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, reading, practicing sports, cooking (I make nices vegan and vegetarian dishes, even though I eat meat or fish almost daily), and I also love a good beer.
I’m very flexible, easygoing, and cultured—but I’m all thumbs when it comes to manual labor (hopeless at building things, agriculture, cleaning tasks..). However, I enjoy to help people.
But I’m much better in the kitchen or serving drinks, and—as I mentioned—to teaching.
I just started to write about my travel:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel from Europe to Japan, passing through Istanbul, without taking a plane. And also write about my travel.
I think it’s more fun to stay overnight in locals’ homes, usually for short stays of one to three days.
I would feel uncomfortable taking advantage of people’s hospitality, so I’d like my hosts to let me help with something if they wish. I’m not very good with construction work, but I’m an athletic and physically strong person. In addition to my sociability and good mood, and possibly offering informal language lessons, I’m always happy to help in practical ways: carrying heavy loads, cooking, painting a wall…
Otherwise, it would be important for me to at least offer a meal or a drink.

I love to read Oscar Wilde, Baudelaire, Fernando Pessoa, Jane Austen, Tolstoi, Jules Vernes, greek philosophie...
About movies: Akira Kurosazawa!
But I also like movies like Star Wars (not the last ones)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Camino the Santiago? I have to think...
I spent two months traveling around Europe without planning accommodation in advance, relying on human connections.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach French, Porutuguese or Maths.
I want to learn about the place where you live.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Smiles, laugh, stories and a nice beer if you also like it.
