HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until now I have hosted about 15 very friendly guest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences with these guests and several hosts all have been very positive.
I hosted a student for some time with whom I had funny and inspiring conversations, a lot of cooking together and trips aroud the city of Berlin and Potsdam.
Then I hosted a young woman from Hongkong. She was very kind and it was interesting to hear about her life in Hongkong and her plans.
Then I hosted a scientist who told about his research and who gave me very inspiring tipps for a presentation.
My first experiences as a guest I made in Italy.
First in Perugia. A very kind and interestign woman. She shoed me the ancient part of the city, told me a lot about the history and the architecture of Perugia. And she was so kind to give me some of her clothes because my luggave was lost by the airline. I was very happy because of this help. It was a great experience.
Later I stayed for two nights in Rome with a woman who is anthropologist. She told me very interesting things about her research and her exhibitions. And she showed me an ancient roman villa. It was very impressive.
Since many years I stay with the woman in Perugia who I met first in 2013.
One year ago I hosted a young couple from Antalya. It was a very impressive contact. They were very interested in Berlin. Later I visited them in Antalya. Since then we are in close contact.
All these people I met by Couchsurfing were very inspiring for me.

I like classical music but also the most famous rock and popsongs of the sixties and seventies. A movie that I like very much was Night on Earth by Jim Jarmush.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I habe seen the pyramids, walked throug the rainforest in Costa Rica, lived with friends some weeks in a small village in Nigeria, spent a month in the Capital of Niger and travelled around in Kenia.

In august 2014 I visited Virunga National park in the democratic republic of Congo. I met many impressive people and a big family of mountain gorillas after a long walk through the jungle. It was great.

I like to meet people who are interested in history. I like to show my town by bike, tell about Berlin and Prussion history.
I like to improve my English, French and Arabic.
