Sup. I'm an unrelenting ambassador of NYC, born, returned, and wandering. I will probably forcefeed you pizza and mexican food. My very rare true loves are bridge walking, happy hour, street art, libraries, fried rice, civil disobedience, languages, dancing with my eyes closed.
Some of my best experiences have been with strangers.
i love that my job sends me to every corner of the city, including the train stops people are scared of for no reason. i live in harlem not far from where my grandma grew up, and it's pretty beautiful.
my two most important values are honesty and peace. also, i really, really like food. i could probs beat you at an eating contest.
Note: I will NOT respond to a copy-and-paste request to surf my couch. Please read my profile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can't usually host unless my roomate is away, but I'm always into meeting up, having a drink or coffee, and surfing. Whenever I travel, I turn to CS. My schedule's pretty busy but I try to make time for CS!
i've couchsurfed in morocco, india, jordan, and palestine - all very special.
I work full time for a city agency which handles special crime victims services, focusing on domestic violence, human trafficking, and abuse. My career interest is community outreach and education, focusing on crisis response andviolence prevention. Also I like to pretend I'm less mono-lingual by dabbling in a lot of languages. I'm conversational in French and a couple years ago took an intensive Urdu class over the summer to prepare me for thesis research in Pakistan. And want to get me past my 20 words of spanish and arabic? i could use a personal tutorial!
You can probably find me...
catching the sunset, outwitting google maps, at happy hour, jaywalking, eternal skepticism, sprawled out on a park bench, riding the subway to a stop i havent been to, making fun of you, hatching elaborate and manipulative plots, stealing free internet, being a student without doing any schoolwork, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
put some extra mozzarella on that motherfucker and shit.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
the best day i ever had was on top of a mountain in pakistani kashmir, having a picnic with pomegranates and red wine.
