CURRENT MISSION Mastering student life and going abroad for a semester. I'm thinking about Portugal or Spain or Japan. ABOUT ME Moin moin, I am Flemming Fischer. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Bremen in Germany. My interest for travelling and foreign cultures relates back to me being of mixed heritage. I'm both German and Chinese. Maybe through my mixed heritage I don't feel like there's one home for me. I often feel the urge to travel somewhere else. That's why I first decided to spend a year in the USA which was a great. Since I liked it so much I wanted to spend another year abroad. Because I'm also Chinese, I felt it's good to explore your other roots. So that's what I did after I graduated from High School. Now I'm currently in Nanjing, China as a volunteer teacher. I haven't been in the Couchsurfer community before but I already hosted two short term exchange students from Ireland and Cameroon which I thought was great. As I have learnt in my life, exchanges between different cultures are an important way to improve global understanding. That's why I want to take part.
