About Me
Hello there!
I am Florian, 23, from Düsseldorf, Germany and Im studying History and German in Siegen to become a teacher.
Nope, it‘s not that dry and tedious; it‘s actually more fun than it sounds like.
And yep, that‘s probably that clichée kind of answer every History student will give you, but there is something to it...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Why I am here?
Because a good friend introduced me to this sick concept. I fell in love with the very first nice little flat we had and It‘s been always a nice experience for both the host and us the guests💪🏼
Interests
I am interested in History and Languages apparently and also in traveling as long and often as possible. In terms of sports I enjoy playing Badminton and going out for a jog.
- meditation
- badminton
- jogging
- sometimes baking
Music, Movies, and Books
In terms of music I listen to almost every genre, especially french Chansons. A very good book to recommend would be „Pride and Prejudice“ by Jane Austen as a timeless classic. I wouldn't decribe myself as cineast, but Im sometimes up for a good film.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my most exeptional experience might be driving (and living in) a customized Van along the east coast of Australia with a friend of mine for 6 months. Working at the National Archives of Georgia was also a nice experience not to be left out.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some german, I guess. Apart from that I am receptive to learn something about and from interesting people, as well as connecting to other cultures!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experience has shown that it is not very difficult for me to have a nice conversation about interesting topics (light as well as serious ones), which is the first step to a successful stay, in my humble opinion.
If there is a piano, I like to take every opportunity to play a classical piece or two on it!
