About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning - either be it by studying, teaching or simply exchanging life experiences with people, I am always striving to increase my knowledge about the world around me and grow as a human being!

ABOUT ME

I'm a multicultural project. Basically a Portuguese and Brazilian co-production, born in Lisbon but sprinkled with "ancestral dust" from Italy, Africa and India.

My permanent residence is in the São Paulo megalomanopolis, although I'm currently doing a semester abroad at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.

I've had the chance to live in 4 different continents throughout my life (Europe, South America, Africa and Asia), so I take great pleasure out of interacting with people from different places and with diverse cultural backgrounds. I feel there is so much to gain and learn as a human being, so I'm always looking forward to making new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a big range of hobbies, but I really love Literature, Music, Cinema and Sports.

Books:

I'm a Literature major, so reading is like breathing to me. Love too many authors, but some of my favorites include Murakami Haruki, Raymond Carver, Jonathan Safran-Foer, Julio Cortazar, Roberto Bolano, Thomas Mann, Fernando Pessoa, Natsume Soseki and Dazai Osamu.

Music:

I am a huge music lover. My all-time personal pantheon consists of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Smiths, Serge Gainsbourg, Manic Street Preachers, of Montreal, Os Mutantes, Los Hermanos, Pulp and A Tribe Called Quest. Also love Japanese artists such as Shiina Ringo/Tokyo Jihen, Kenichi Asai, Supercar, Shugo Tokumaru, UA, Salyu, Quruli and many, many others.

Films:

I'm truly a happy person if I happen to watch at least one movie each day. Guaranteed to delight me to no end is anything by Wong-Kar Wai, Billy Wilder, Stanley Kubrick, Ozu Yasujiro, Wes Anderson, Kim Ki-Duk, Miyazaki Hayao, Eric Rohmer, Sono Sion, Walter Salles, Hong Sang-soo, Kore-eda Hirokazu, and so on.
