ABOUT ME

I really don't know how to describe myself, but, I like to laugh a lot, sometimes I'm quiet and serious, sometimes I can't stop laughing... I like the phrase from the movie V for Vendetta: "Is everything a joke to you, Gordon? Only the things that matter...". I love learning everything I can. To contemplate the world around me, talk to different people, learn more and more perspectives about life. I enjoy reading and going to the cinema (one of my favourite hobbies is to watch movies), music and theatres and watching nature, hikking and camping. But I also have a desire for adrenaline, so when I get the time and budget I like skydiving, sand and snow boarding, diving and driving. A very practical person sometimes.

PHILOSOPHY

There's an old saying that goes: "Quien no vive para servir, no sirve para vivir", kind of like this one by Albert Einstein: "Only a life lived for others, is a life worthwhile". I just keep on learning to try to become a better being. Trying to understand the emotions that lead to physical expressions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a friend and visited a friend as a surfer, she's from Czech Republic. Also I went to Poland, Romania and Greece staying with fellow couchsurfers! Meeting awesome people in the way!! Went camping on the Sinaia mountains in Romania with 2 amazing friends!!

In the past few months I have hosted over 120 people, which now makes me more aware about the needs of different people and what to show them around the city! !

I'm currently and for a big season living in Montreal, Canada! I moved a few days ago so I won't be able to host in Mexico City!

Interests

Everything a man can do... I like carpentry (although my skills need improvement), reading, watching movies, dancing sometimes, listening to all kinds of music (I only don't have a taste for screams and guttural sounds, other than that, I enjoy learning new types of music), listening and sharing thoughts with people, learning new skills, camping, history, cooking... I would love to try some blacksmithing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The art of loving, Siddharta, Der Steppenwolf (many things by Hesse), Man and his Symbols, Man's search for meaning, the Tibetan book of life and death, and other novels...

Music: From really classical, to things you can only hear in my country (banda). Some jazz, country, Dj's like Armin, Tïesto and Schiller, yes sometimes reggaeton, some pop, salsa, cumbia, merengue, rock, gothic, doom and symphonic metal, Etc...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I've done many wild things in my lifetime, and seen much more, but between them skydiving, diving and snowboarding.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I have the time, I can cook for you some Mexican meals (normal ones), breakfast, show you some ways of speaking, tell you very good places to eat and take you to some clubs! I'm learning to dance salsa, so I can take you to some lessons!
