About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a positive, non-judgmental, gastronome, down-to-earth, open-minded, sincere and reliable person who loves to travel and looking forward to meet interesting people around the world.
I have been through countless life experiences. Born and raised in Cabo Verde traveled and lived in many countries and continents, including Europe, Middle East, Central Asia and North America. I'm currently living and working in South of Spain. The best way to learn is hands on, so the best way to learn about other culture is to travel around the world or Host CS. I have done my fair share of travel, but since I just start a new job, I do not have vacation time yet, so I can still learn as much by hosting people. Love to cook and experience with foods from different counties, but because I don’t like sweets to much I do deserts. I love music and dancing, different kinds of music like reggae, salsa, bachata, kizomba, R&B,…

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy,to have fun, and stress free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by hosting and by meeting other travelers, but I can't wait for the day that I have enough vacation time so I can travel more often than just for work. It was a brilliant idea to create CS, I have been sharing my life and knowledge with only friends and family for long time in a lot of different locations now with CS I can share with other people and giving them an opportunity to do the same.

Interests

I like to explore and I love learning new things. I love experiencing foreign languages and cultures. Beer and hanging out with my favorite friends with good music and great food is my ideal weekend. Traveling, soccer, volleyball, biking, swimming, movies, and history.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started to travel at very early age. Joint the US Navy before finishing College just so I can travel more. Visited the Ring of Fire in Turkmenistan.

Teach, Learn, Share

*I can teach Portuguese, if somebody is interested in it. We can share experiences and opinions about our countries/cities.

*I like to eat foods from different cultures, so I can cook and give you some tips on some of my favorite recipes.

*I am taking dance classes, I can teach the basics on how to dance salsa, bachata, zouk, kizomba, merengue - they are very popular in Spain :)

**I would like to learn new languages: Russian and Turkish
