About Me
Hello Hello!
My name is Gabrè, a trans non binary person and I go by neutral (preference) or feminine pronouns. Some years ago I dropped medical school to become an artist. Come on, it did work, I even got into a reality show, somehow!
Before that, also used to teach English/Spanish in Brazil and overseas. In Brazil we speak Portuguese, right? Just checking it to make it sure.
I’m a kind of pothead nerd, see, I hold a major bachelor in anthropology along with pedagogy and journalism minors. Also got a gender and sexuality especializarion. Besides that, got a national astronomy and astronomical medal at junior schoool and got environmental scientist and theater professional degrees.
Lived most of my life at my home neighborhood and the last third moving around Brazil and the world. I ove the nature, beach, waterfalls, camping and I love meeting new people! I’m very extrovert and open minded person. Also may be way to straightly directly, comigo o papo é reto, as I would say.
Let’s see, also been vegetarian for over 13 years, wear my looks for over 5. Still getting new piercing and tattoos, so, still didn’t stop for counting them. planning the next tattoo.
I love traveling and volunteering! Had spent 2 months in Africa, volunteering with kids in the community and a years working in an international NGO committee as a Local Officer on Human Rights and Peace Director. While at medical school I founded an LGBT support collective and was part of the Students Directory and coordinator of many committees (International Relationships, Mental Health, Students Movement, Public Health).
Currently I live in Belo Horizonte, where I work as Communication Coordinator at aKasulo (LGBTQIA+ Connivence Center - NGO) and at Abalô-caxi (Carnival Arts Organization). Also make party of a community group called “Coletivo Recriart&Cultura”; were we produce and spreed hip hop; street and LGBT+ cultures.
I die for commedy and fiction movies, same as I enjoy eating, drinking and taste new flavors and experiences! I love kids, pets and I’m an energy and helpful kind too. By the way, I’m currently living with another energy one. Called “Bechamel” or “Bechã”; I’m being for now the temporary home for this complainer (companheiro) .
Used to enjoy partying harder! Still keep on getting shots and some p0t. Thats pretty much it. Ai que saudades dum baile.
I do speak Portuguese, English and Spanish and I'm everyday finding to learn the best random worlds in different languages. Nowadays I’m trying to get there on French too. DO U SPEAK FRENCH?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meting new people and been introduce to new cultures and the life possibilities that come along! Also, for budgeters, life still tuff, so traveling sometimes may be a possible luxury if we can count on somebody’s help who could offer a coach. Also, safer and less lonely if there’s some nice company!
