We’re Chris and Gaby a couple from Ecuador and the Netherlands who have traveled together through 45 countries across Latin America, Asia, and Europe We’re currently taking a little pause and living in the Netherlands, but our love for exploring never stops. For now, we’re planning shorter trips and would still love to connect with other travelers and locals along the way.

I have strong leftist values because I believe in social justice, equal opportunities, and solidarity between people, no matter where they come from. For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about a place to stay ,it’s about exchanging perspectives and ideas too.

That said, I’m always up for interesting conversations with people who see the world differently, as long as there’s mutual respect. Some things, like human rights, equality, and fighting discrimination, aren’t up for debate. If we share similar values, we’ll probably get along great! And if not, all I ask is a respectful discussion.

I love to exchange cultures and help other travellers. It is very interesting for me to hear how other people think about topics and I love to chat. I am always interested to learn new things as well, especially about things you know and care a lot about!

I graduated in tourism and since the pandemic I became in a spanish teacher, so it would be fun to teach you some Spanish words, maybe for your coming trip to Latin America! Together with my husband, we have a lot of knowledge about many travel destinations and would be happy to share those!
