我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I joined this community because it really is a community. I like to meet friendly people and have a nice chat, and perhaps a couple of drinks with them. I think being hosted in a local's house, it's a great way to learn about the place and the culture you are visiting. However, I'm not always looking for a place to sleep. I may have my own accommodation but meeting for a drink with locals it is very interesting too.

I also like to give it back and host. But there are a couple of things I'd like to make sure.

IMPORTANT PHILOSOPHY - PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING A REQUEST!

If you come to my apartment, be aware that it's not a free hotel. I host people to interact and learn about new cultures, food, travel experiences, and so on... I like meeting people from different countries and having interesting conversations over a glass of wine, or beer.
But I also need my spaces, so don't expect to stay with me for 24 hours a day. You can go explore the city during the day! However, from around 6.00 pm, it would be nice to have a few drinks together, and dinner afterward, and talking about anything. Basically, you are expected to be on your own during the day, and in the late afternoon we can hang out. And that's the reason why I like to point out that you shouldn't be setting up meetings with other Couchsurfers in the evening because my home is not a free hotel. (If you want to meet other members, you are welcome to do it during the day.)
So, if you want to share your experiences, having interesting conversations, drinking good wine or beer, and cooking together, being respectful and help with the cleaning of the dishes, then you are more than welcome to make a request! :) So please don't be afraid about these couple of rules! I'm a very easy going person. I just needed to make a few things clear, to avoid misunderstanding.

Music: Depends on the mood. Everything and nothing...

Movies: I have stopped watching movies a few years ago. I think it's a waste of time. Pointless. Much better living for real and make your life a movie.

Books: I don't know, too many, Hemingway, Bukowski, the list is countless...
