About Me
Hi, I’m an easy-going person, originally from China, and I’ve been living in Estonia since 2016. Moving here has been an exciting journey that opened a new chapter of my life, full of growth, cultural exchange, and unforgettable experiences.
I’m naturally curious about new things — whether it’s discovering a hidden café in town, learning a new language, exploring a different culture, or simply hearing someone’s unique life story. I enjoy meaningful conversations, sharing perspectives, and connecting with open-minded people from different backgrounds.
For me, life is about staying curious, respectful, and kind — and always being ready for the next interesting adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am trying to witness more of this world and I love the feeling when I am on my way. Things happened and people I came across were really precious for the memory of my life.
Couchsurfing is more than just a way to find a place to stay — it’s a gateway to meaningful connections with locals and like-minded travelers from around the world. Through Couchsurfing, it becomes easier to experience authentic culture, discover hidden gems, and explore the most fascinating corners of a city beyond the typical tourist path.
It also creates space to exchange stories, perspectives, and life experiences with people who are genuinely curious and open-minded. That human connection — the shared laughter, conversations, and memories — is what truly makes Couchsurfing so special.
Interests
• Personally I have preference for novels which are adapted into movies or TV series e.g. The Pianist (one of my favorite)
• I love singing but mostly in bathroom haha. I enjoy all kinds of music but not a big fun of rock (except music of Chris Daughtry)
• Amateur ballroom dancer. Not sure whether I can call myself dancer cause I practiced ballroom dance only in university without professional guidance. So my skills suck haha.
• Amateur classical guitar player. My learning journey started about two years ago and I have participated small-scale guitar concerts twice. But I am far from being good.
• Badminton enthusiast. I regard it as a great sport for mental wellbeing. I' ve been playing regularly since 2024.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
• Tried Estonian hot mixed naked sauna (around 110° C) and then jumped into cold river in the winter. The refreshing feeling makes it worth trying.
• Finished my master's study in Estonian when I still didn't know the language well. (I am quite proud of that. :D)
• Being an interpreter for two premier screenings at Black Night Film Festival
• Overcame my fear and did a flash mob
• Climbing up to Sri Pada (Adam's Peak) watching the sunrise
Teach, Learn, Share
Since Chinese is my mother tongue and I’ve been living in Estonia for the past nine years, I’d be happy to teach you some simple Chinese — and even a bit of basic Estonian if you’re interested. Language is such a beautiful bridge between people and cultures.
I also enjoy cooking and have been practicing a few homemade Chinese dishes. If we have the chance, I’d love to cook something simple and authentic for you to share a taste of my culture.
On top of that, I can offer some personal (and 100% practical!) travel tips for exploring both Estonia and China — from cultural insights to small details that can truly improve your experience.
And of course, I strongly believe in “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” I would love to learn useful local words and phrases from my host, as well as understand specific cultural traits, traditions, and even taboos. For me, Couchsurfing is all about genuine exchange — teaching, learning, and sharing in the most natural way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good vibes, respect, and easy-going company. I’m clean, considerate, and always mindful of house rules and personal space. I truly appreciate the kindness of hosting, so I do my best to contribute positively to the atmosphere of the home.
I can share stories from China and my life in Estonia, cultural perspectives, and travel experiences. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to cook a simple Chinese meal or teach a few useful Chinese phrases. I can also exchange travel tips about Estonia and China from a local point of view.
