I'm also fascinated by aviation and I can talk about planes for hours on end.

I've seen Petra!!! and it had a strong impact on me, it helped me to realize that travelling is something I can't live without, also stayed the whole day starving in a Jordanian desert during that trip(I was travelling by bus but still)
