About Me

Hi! I'm Gabriel!
I'm an easygoing traveler with a love for the outdoors, hiking, and nerding about all things natural history.

Although I’m based in the U.S. now, I grew up in Northeastern Brazil. And being there, I always visited beaches, national parks, wildlife reserves, and spent some quality time in nature. My goal now is doing the same thing wherever I go, taking every opportunity to visit a new state and explore a new region while making new friends on the way.

I love connecting with people, hearing their stories, and sharing experiences. I try my best to be respectful, and I just love when someone's able to provide me with a different perspective on a place — ideally, while sharing a good meal, a walk, or a sunset.

Interests

Most of my interests are somewhat nature-related, but I'm totally in for cultural and gastro agendas. I plan on spending more time abroad, visiting new places for the weekend, and sharing experiences, best if making new friends along the way.

Biked my way atop an active volcano in the Azores.

Lived 5 months in an oceanic island in the central Atlantic.

Camped for a month in the Central Amazon.

Treained a family of marmosets to communicate with me using whistles.

Discovered a new carnivorous plant species (Utricularia cutleri).

Joined a route 66 road trip to California with three other surfers a day after meeting them.

Got dragged into an investors dinner without having any economics background.

And so much more!
