ABOUT ME

My friends call me George most of the time though anything really goes. I've just returned from an amazing year backpacking/couchsurfing/hitchhiking through Europe and SE Asia. Had the most incredible experiences, a lot of fun, and have definitely caught the traveling bug! I love meeting new people from all corners of the globe, sharing stories and exploring new things!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experience of couch surfing - surfing and hosting - has always been absolutely amazing. I have made some of my closest friends through couch surfing, learnt SO much and really experienced traveling in the best way possible. I very much believe that people are the best part of any place, and I enjoy meeting people, listening to their stories, telling my own stories and enjoying each others company and friendship.

兴趣

I drink more tea than the English... in fact, I probably drink more tea than the Queen herself... maybe I can couch surf with her and we can find out ;) Other than that, I'm interested in everything and everyone!! I love learning about anything and ask waaaaaay too many questions. I have abnormally large feet and a lot of energy and I love laughing :) Hmm I like lists and highlighters and colour coding things... making boring stuff look pretty! I can't eat yogurt without spilling some on myself. What else?... hitch hiking! Most of all I love exploring cobblestoned streets and stumbling upon something unexpected!

1984 literally changed my life whilst Alice in Wonderland continues to play with my mind !! I want to read all the Penguin Classics but am depressed by how many there are :( I love TIME, The Economist, Monocle and newspapers but have a thing about fonts and layouts. I like Disney movies, cooking books and radio on a Sunday morning :)

I think I was first awestruck when I worked out that traffic lights didn't have little men inside them that changed the colour of the light. That really changed my world if I am to be completely honest!! I think the most amazing things I've done or seen whilst travelling are the things NOT planned for and NOT expected and they're often made amazing by the people I've met rather than the places I've been.

Mmmm I have no professional skills as such. I can eat a kilo of grapes? My clarinet playing leaves a lot to be desired. I love sport but have a habit of tripping over myself. I am interested in learning anything from anyone... if only to make this section of my profile a little more impressive!
