Hello guys!

My name is Giorgos and I come from a small island country down the edge of Europe, Cyprus.

I am an architect by profession but I like to get work experience and cooperate with people in all sorts of contexts.

I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to dozens of countries in 4 continents and lived in several of them. Sometimes about education or work and mostly just about exploring the world.

I am an active member in several travel oriented platforms but couchsurfing is one of my favorite. There is a focus on actual life experiences and authenticity which I love to encounter and hopefully I promote as well.

So I have been here for 8 years already and thus far I had some awesome guests from:

India, Turkey, Argentina, Czech Republic, Colombia, Belgium, Algeria, Slovenia, Italy, Chile, Mexico, Poland, U.K., Germany, Ukraine, U.S.A., Brazil, Russia, Estonia, Ireland, Pakistan and Slovakia.

I have hosted several friends outside couchsurfing but there is something special about this platform that keeps me motivated to be part of. I get to meet such a great variety of people that otherwise would probably never meet for instance. All of them have all sorts of inspiring stories, ideas, and habits that I am curious to experience.

Eventually every city I live in feels brand new every time I have the chance to host someone and I am grateful to all of you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to reach new people outside my city and open up my horizon.

Sharing stories with all the laughter and perhaps the drama about them.

The wonder of making new memories out of unexpected acquaintances.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Listening to the stories of my grandpa.

-Helping in the construction of a primary school in Agadir, Morocco

-Playing music in a pub, picking up every instrument I could find. It was hard to get the trumpet 😅
