About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to laugh so hard that my stomache muscles hurt!

ABOUT ME

I like to paint, draw, play, laugh and just have a really good time. I'm always happier when I'm around people and making new friends is one of my FAVOURITE things. I'm prone to thinking too much, so I like to keep busy, and to keep laughing, because for me being positive is the key. But with a good stimulating conversation on offer I will happily sit and talk for hours. I also really like being naughty, pushing the boundaries, and going against social norms - which I am learning to control when I visit countries with a more sensitive culture. Making, thinking about and talking about art is like breathing oxygen for me. and I appreciate all things creative!! And of course, I also LOVE to travel. However, I have very little interest in tourist attractions, and my travel adventures are in the end mostly marked by the people I've met. That's why couch surfing has become a favourite past time.

PHILOSOPHY

I have thought a lot about the meaning of life in my short time on Earth so far, and for the moment I have decided that life is about having fun. I live for the moments when I laugh so hard that my stomach hurts.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do both; I surf and I host. When I surf I really want to become a part of my host's lifestyle and culture. I think that it beats any hostel experience offered anywhere in the world. And hosting keeps my house alive. I love having people coming and going.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing has given me only amazing experiences. I have met the most incredible people and done the most incredible things through this site. When I travel I find it always more exciting to couch surf, and when I'm at home I always look forward to meeting my next visitor.

Interests

art, music, people, sport, summer, snowboarding, african drumming, eating, sunrise, laughing, talking, drinking moroccan tea, nutella? do you have nutella? I really like it. dancing, skinny dipping, bare feet - no im not a hippy - and doing whatever scares me most in life, wow the rush. And there is so much more.

Music, Movies & Books

favourite books are clockwork orange, lolita, shantaram, life of pi, etc. However, I have this really bad habit of judging a book by its cover, and so I need you to give me suggestions of what to read next. I love sharing books and talking literature.

With music - this is another thing I love to share and swap with couch surfers. I love music from around the world - in particular west african drumming and i go mad for bollywood (I love anything kitsch). I also really like the muslim call to prayer. I could listen to a CD of that on repeat for hours.

some of my favourite artists are Wim Delvoye, Santiago Sierra, Caravaggio, Paul McCarthy, Thukral & Tagra, Francis Alÿs and Frida Kahlo

One Amazing Thing I've Done

throwing custard cream donuts at people from the roof of a local bakery. squatting a two-story apartment at Kings Cross Station in London. watching a goat give birth to twins in the sahara desert. changing the colour of my poo by drinking fluoro colours.

and now.... I want this whole country RED!!!
