I live in a house with my wife and several pets 1 1/2 miles from the centre of Fürth. We often get visits from our Children and Grandchild.

I enjoy travelling especially to exciting cities. It's stimulating. But, to be honest to you, I'm actually more interested in the people and their way of life, attitudes and thoughts than only sightseeing. Intereses

My favorite hobby apart Couchsurfing is beekeeping. It´s very interesting and exciting for me.
Last year I got about 20 stings! Ouch!!!
Since 2024 I‘m a certified city guide of Fürth. I love to tell stories about my city.
I also like playing some piano and cajon, used to play drums in jazzrock-, soul- and rhythm´n´ blues bands.
I love gardening, especially hedge-trimming and cutting plants into different sculptures (as you can see in my pictures). My hedge in front of the house is meanwhile famous in the district ;-)
Moreover I like to create photobooks and photo flipboards and furthermore hiking, running (not too fast) and biking (bicycle) when I'm too lazy to take the car.

"Grafflmarkt": It's a very nice and famous flea market.
"Michaeliskirchweih": It's the best fair in northern franconia and it's not on a boring place outside the city. It's in the streets of the heart of the city! (It's also called "the queen of the franconian fairs"): http://www.michaelis-kirchweih.de/

"Bardentreffen" It's a wonderful and famous music festival in the city of Nürnberg for free: http://bardentreffen.de
It takes place at the last weekend of July.
"Trempelmarkt" also a very nice but often more expensive flea market.
