About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel and create community and connection via music, dance, and yoga.

ABOUT ME

I travel the US full time with my partner Morgan performing, living, and working at Renaissance Festivals. I am originally from North Carolina. I have my MFA in Dance from UC Irvine and BA in Dance, Theatre, and Film Studies from Manhattanville College. I've performed professionally all over the world, worked as an Assistant Director in the film industry in LA, and teach kids dance. I enjoy yoga, dance, hiking, swimming, exploring, and meeting new people.

MISSION

My mission in life is to bring love, joy, and kindness to anything I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in a small town near Munich, Germany in 2014. I couchsurfed in California and ended up house-sitting for a month for a woman I met via couchsurfing while she traveled in Ireland. I have also used Airbnb extensively as both a host and guest. I love travel and the generosity of compassionate people who open their doors to others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Italy during college. Picking one moment from that experience that left me awestruck is difficult because the whole experience did. One moment in particular that was amazing was the first time I stepped off the train into Venice. I remember standing on the dock looking out at the water and the city and I just felt like crying because it was so beautifully breathtaking. A similar memory is when I visited Cinque Terre, Italy. I spent one whole day by myself wandering the beach towns. All of a sudden a thunderstorm came! I took cover under an awning, and I found myself standing next to a friendly British couple. The thunder and lightning out over the Mediterranean waters was a picture of the force of nature. It was a bit scary and completely unbelievable. I will always remember standing there, sharing that awesome experience with complete strangers.

Another time I felt awe-struck was when I visited the Garden of the Gods in Colorado. The huge red rock formations there are some of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Also, the vastness of states like Utah that I witnessed on my road trip across America, took my breath away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, and I have taught dance and theatre. I am a musician and still learning a lot about that!
