I’m Ukrainian and have been living in Switzerland for about one year. At the moment, I’m learning German. I’m interested in new cultures, new countries and different ways of living. For me, Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to explore a place through local eyes. When I was 30, I decided to travel without much money and trust the road. I hitchhiked and played the glucophone in the streets. This experience deeply changed me and helped me meet many like-minded people who are curious about life and open to something new. During my travels in Asia, I started practicing meditation, visited sacred places in India and completed five Vipassana retreats. I also spent 1.5 months in a monastery in Myanmar, practicing meditation and living a very simple, quiet life. I visited different spiritual festivals and retreats, including Osho retreats, lived in a retreat centre, and later became interested in art therapy. I love meaningful conversations, singing improvisation, art therapy, nature and people’s life stories. I’m quite a spontaneous person. I’m happy to meet, go for a walk, share a meal, cook something Ukrainian, offer a small meditation or art-therapy practice, talk about travels, or share some tips about Switzerland if I can.
