About Me

Love the cultural aspect of life, museums and art in special. I've ran a frew Marathons and like open water swimming. Love politics and social discussions. Left wing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that, to become a better person, we need to be more open to what is different to us. And to achieve that otherness it's important to get in touch with what is unusual to you. And that's what I think couchsurfing does. It's probably the best way to really know the place and what locals do. You don't have that common place experience from hostels, where you mostly get the trully touristic aspects, meeting trully different people. That's what I want when travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Been listening to a lot of folk music lately (Mumfornd and Sons, The Handsome Family, Laura Marling). Brazilian music, of course (Los Hermanos, Legião Urbana, Mallu Magalhães, Cássia Eller, Marisa Monte, Nando Reis). And lots of Indie (Radiohead, Beach House, Bon Iver)
I'm a huge fan of Mia Couto, my favorite author. Dostoievsky, Cortázar, Guimarães Rosa...
As for movies, Kubrick is my favorite director. The Godfather is my favorite movie, but as a geek, I love Star Wars. Coen Brothers are great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope the most amazing is yet to come

Teach, Learn, Share

Always be humble. Talk less and listen more. Don't judge, try wearing other people's shoes. Be open.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share an alternative experience from my city, helping with the language, since few people in Brazil speak portuguese. Always open for a good conversation about culture, politics and life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russian Federation, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United States
