Hi, my name is Hanna and I am from Berlin, Germany. My parents are from South Korea, so I grew up speaking Korean and German. My major is Jewish Theology and I've spent two years living in Israel - one year in Haifa as a volunteer, one year in Jerusalem studying Bible and Archaeology at Hebrew University. The past year I've studied Chinese in Shanghai and traveled around Asia. At the moment I am studying at a theological seminary in the suburbs of Chicago.

I love to study all kinds of languages and to get to know the people who actually speak them. :) When traveling I am not too much into the crowded touristy places but love to get know a place with its local people and culture. I love hiking in the nature and to climb mountains, and aaaall kinds of adventures :) I also enjoy having meaningful conversations over a cup of tea, so I'm looking forward to meet you!

I love to hike, to climb mountains and enjoy nature :)

Besides traveling, I am interested in all kinds of theological and philosophical questions, and related to my studies, basically everything that is ancient ;P I have been studying cultures of the Ancient Near East, especially the Israelite, through ancient languages, texts and also archaeology. I think studying these things can give us deeper insights on understanding the Bible and what human life is about, which makes it sooo interesting, even today! :)

I think the Bible is an amazing book, full of treasures and truth which can find application in our daily lives! I love to share and discuss different portions, so if you like, I am happy to share with you whatever I am reading at that moment.

I also like reading biographies of inspiring personalities like Dietrich Bonhoeffer, C.S. Lewis, Eric Liddell, Martin Luther, William Wilberforce, Hudson Taylor, ...

Sipping tea with bedouins in the wilderness in Petra, spending nights watching stars in olive groves while hiking in the Galilee, climbing up everything that can be climbed upon, collecting wood in the Judean desert for a bonfire to make some bread for breakfast (and then have a coyote steal the box with all the bread u__u), playing and sinking into a swamp in Andalusia and have a friend pull me out, climbing on the roofs of abandoned houses with my CS host in Kaohsiung ... all kinds of stuff :D

I can share and to some degree teach the languages I know, also ancient languages (I've been working on Latin, Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew, Aramaic and Akkadian Cuneiform hehe).
