About Me

Finally update my CS profile

I am a happy good person. I think if you get to know me you will like me. I'm planning to travel around the world for ten years for free, it's been almost 2 years and so far so good! I've actually made money I think, but more important I've had the best time. Would love to tell you all about it and also learn some travel tips from you. I'm planning to write a book about free and paid travel. I've also got a travel blog I'm supposed to be updating but I usually put it off in favor of having fun with amazing CS'ers. Like anyone there are a lot of sides to me. I can enjoy an all night conversation on philosophy if given the opportunity or spend my time partying until dawn. Though I would prefer to combine both ~ Good drinks, good conversation and with good company ~ And make a great night out of it. ;) I love to be out doors, to watch the sun and the way it plays off the clouds at sunset. I absolutely love clouds, all types, though I do have my favorites. I like to connect with other humans and enjoy life, share and laugh. I've made some of the most amazing friends on CS and hoping to meet many, many more amazing people as I travel, I've got 10 years, plenty of time!! ;D

I am here to learn, as are we all, to make it through the challenges, to challenge ourselves and become better humans and/or entities from doing so.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If you host me I look forward to showing you how good a couchsurfer I can be! I always try and contribute something positive, it's great to make a dinner with cultural foods of a country I've been to or to do some other nice thing for my host to show my thanks. I leave places cleaner then when I arrived and am respectful and excited to meet and learn from new people all over the world! While I am traveling I will give positive energy and kindness to all those I meet and couch surf with. When I am able to I definitely host. I try and organize an event whenever I can and am in one place long enough. Always aiming to organize fun, free and non-drinking events. Drinking is great, but it is good to have fun activities outside of that. I love to do picnics and beach days! :D I look forward to sharing great experiences and meeting fellow travels. We all have something to give and learn from each other.

Couch surfing the world. ;D I'm so lucky to meet such wonderful hosts and am happy to still be in touch with many of them.

Well of course travel! And sleeping on kind strangers couches. Also reading, learning, fun, culture. Going on adventures and creating my own path through the woods. (that can be taken as both physically and metaphorically)

Music, Movies, and Books

Almost all old school disney movies make me happy. I think I can enjoy almost any kind of music. Reading is one of my favorite things and I really enjoy a good science fiction/fantasy novel. Or whatever books are free for my nook. ;D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch hiking a couple weeks ago my friend and I ended up in Albania at 1am. It's not the best place to be stuck in with nowhere to go in the middle of the night. So we're walking along, trying to look like we know where we are going to keep from trouble. And up on this tall cliff hill we see a castle! Do we want to sleep in a castle?? Sure do! So we make the (really hard!) climb up making sure no one spots us. We get up and realize, oh it's a castle, they are sort of hard to get into... But we luckily discover a secret passage way. Over water hopping on stones, under tiny little doors, up a ladder and voila! We made it into the fortress! What a huge castle, we explored around like silent ninjas to make sure no one was there that could cause us harm. Alas we discover that the castle was ours for the night. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Of course the idea of a nice warm free couch, bed or floor is amazingly appealing when traveling on a budget. But what I really look forward to is the connections with fellow humans, good humans out there in the world and the sharing of knowledge and energy. Traveling alone is so rewarding but it is also nice to connect with other people and laugh. I want to learn from others and get their travel ideas and tips, hear about places they have been and want to go. In it's simplest explanation, I want to make friends. And convince you to quit your job and come travel with me!!
