ABOUT ME

I was born & raised on the Pacific coast of Canada, an area blessed with incredible natural beauty. These days I am abroad most of the time, but I will return to my roots before long.

I'm fascinated by exploring cultures & the outdoors, which is why I travel! I am curious, enthusiastic for life, and try to view any stranger as a friend I haven't met yet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sometimes I can host in my student accommodation, depending on where I live at the time. In any case, if you visit my hometown (west coast of Canada) or university town (east coast of Canada), I'm delighted to share my contacts and experience on where to eat, what to visit, and where to stay. Bring your bike, and I'll take you on a private tour!

I enjoy reading, sailing, and swing dance, although usually not all at the same time.

I am involved in a several environmental & social justice projects (www.youtharcticcoalition.org, www.sierraclub.ca, www.grassroutesbiking.com), and I believe that this is the most important work I do.

When travelling, I am fascinated by the interactions between people & their natural environments.

I lived on a sailboat one summer in the Canadian & Greenlandic Arctic, interviewing Inuit and community leaders about the impacts of oil development.
