ABOUT ME

My name is Chloe! I am a twenty-something with a severe wanderlust and a fiery appetite for adventure. I work as a radio and multimedia producer, making documentaries and the like. I'd love to hear your favorite stories!

I graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in Modern Dance and Creative Writing. After a colorful stint as an au pair in France, I made my way to the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, ME where I studied radio and multimedia production. It wasn’t long before I was hooked. One day, I hope to merge all of my loves and create odd, multimedia performance art. For now, I'm headed West in search of stories and new friends.

I'm always itching for new experiences and new people that can teach me about things I've never seen. I sometimes get overwhelmed with all there is to see and learn and listen to and feel in this world, but I'm doing my best to take as much in as I can everyday.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed in Portland, hosted in Saratoga, and shared many a coffee/tea/adventure with lovely surfers across Europe. I'm looking forward to being able to host again soon when my living situation is a little more fixed!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have many friends who have had really incredible experiences through CouchSurfing. I have heard great stories and the closest French friend I have made in Paris was through CouchSurfing, so I have a success story myself. Based on the people I have met, both through my own requests and through those of friends, I have a lot of respect for the type of person who is an active member of CouchSurfers.

兴趣

I love to dance, sing, move, jump, write, read, take photos, laugh, pretend, plan, sit in the sun, swim, take walks, wander in the woods, write letters, teach, explore and watch. Some of my favorite things are willow trees, clementines, the smell of books, balsamic vinegar, summer storms, postcards, Klimt, language, and wood floors.

Everyone has something to teach and I'm always looking to learn. I want to hear your stories and I have a couple good ones of my own. I'm always looking to speak French if you'd like to practice. Recently, I've been interested in learning how to draw and sketch and such.

I can teach you how to dance; my favorite way is just to move and play with the music but I've also studied dance and would be happy to share some technique, modern or ballet, whichever you prefer. I can share some of the prose poetry I write and how to make a delicious and aesthetically pleasing salad, etc.
