About Me

I'm Guilherme, but you can call me by my nickname Gui. I'm a firm believer in the power of cultural exchange and making new friends from around the world.

Currently, I'm a business administration student, although I've embarked on a few academic adventures before settling here. I've explored economics, dabbled in biomechanical engineering, and even ventured into the world of food technology until I found my true calling. By day, I'm part of the marketing team at a gaming company.

I'm all about creating memorable experiences and forging meaningful connections. I love to whip up a delicious meal, chat about our travel stories, and lend an open ear to hear yours. Whether it's exploring hidden gems in my city, sharing a cup of coffee, or going on an impromptu adventure, count me in!

I'm also a bookworm and movie enthusiast, so if you're into good reads or cozy movie nights, we're already a match. I'm open to sharing my favorite stories.

And that's not all – I'm a big fan of the great outdoors! I love going for walks, immersing myself in nature, and, of course, hitting the movies for a good film and some popcorn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that the best travel experiences aren't just about places but the connections we make with people from all over the world. I love the idea of sharing my space and culture with travelers while, at the same time, learning from their unique stories and perspectives.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity of hosting exchange students and volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including Israel, Peru, Canada, the USA, and Costa Rica. These experiences have taught me just how incredible and diverse our world is, highlighting the importance of getting to know and appreciate different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books I'm into: I absolutely loved 'Leonardo da Vinci' by Walter Isaacson and 'The Winter King' by Bernard Cornwell.

As for movies, I've got a soft spot for 'Toy Story 3,' 'Captain Fantastic,' and 'Spirited Away.'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing experiences I've had was going on a bug adventure in the Egyptian desert.

On the flip side, when I was just 6 years old, I faced a bit of a tough break—literally. I broke my arm and had a 50% chance of not growing anymore (thankfully, it kept on growing). 🌟🪶🌵💪

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching: I'd love to share a taste of Brazilian culture, our differences, and if you're interested, a bit about sales.

Learning: I'm always hungry for knowledge, so whenever I travel, I'm eager to soak up as much as I can about different cultures.

Sharing: I'm more than happy to swap stories, unforgettable moments, and maybe even some delicious treats I'm bringing from my country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love whipping up simple dishes (think pasta and the like, haha) and sharing some good laughs. I'm all ears for your stories and can't wait to share mine too. I'm the kind of person who's up for any adventure you've got in mind, and I'm always ready to recommend a great book for you to dive into.
