About Me
Hey! I’m Gustavo, 30 years old — a traveler at heart and an aerospace engineer by profession.
I’m about to start one of the biggest adventures of my life: traveling from New Zealand to Italy without taking a single flight, moving slowly across oceans and continents for over a year.
I’m not in a rush. I want to dive into cultures, connect with locals, share stories, learn languages, and live fully along the way.
I love mountains, wild nature, deep conversations, and that feeling of being completely lost in a place… yet somehow more found than ever.
I’m curious, respectful, and always open to meaningful experiences — whether it’s cooking together, hiking, or just chatting over a drink.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m not here just to find a place to sleep — I’m here to meet people who live the place.
My journey from New Zealand to Italy without flights is all about slowing down, connecting deeply, and living each country through its people.
Couchsurfing gives me the chance to discover cultures from the inside, share life stories, and break the usual tourist bubble.
I believe that one conversation can change your perspective, and one shared meal can become a memory for life.
Interests
✈️ Travel – Not just to visit, but to experience. I love slow travel, crossing borders by land and sea, discovering hidden places and meeting people with stories to tell.
🏔️ Adventure and Nature – Mountains, wild trekking, volcanoes, sleeping under the stars. I feel alive when I challenge myself in nature.
📚 Personal Growth – Meditation, philosophy, longevity, learning from other cultures. I’m always looking for ways to improve my body, mind, and spirit.
🎧 Deep Talks and Local Vibes – I love long conversations about life, culture, and dreams. I’m not into small talk, but I’m always into local food and music!
🛩️ Aviation – I’m an aerospace engineer, passionate about aircraft, travel logistics, and flying (even if I won’t take flights on this journey!).

What I Can Share with Hosts
I travel light, not just in luggage — also in attitude. I’m clean, respectful, and easy-going. I adapt to any situation and truly appreciate every act of kindness.
I can offer good conversations, travel stories, a calm vibe, and a positive mindset. If you’re into deep talks, adventure tips, or simply sharing a meal, I’m in.
I love cooking (if I find ingredients!), or just helping out however I can. I won’t take much space, but I’ll bring good energy.
Above all, I’m here to connect — not to consume.
