Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of experiencing life as it is lived authentically on the other side of the world from where I live. I believe that at our very core, we are all not quite the same, but very similar, and I love seeing how others do life.

Interests

Psychology, singing and music as well as long distance running and biking. I've dabbled a bit in indoor rock climbing and bouldering and also enjoy hiking, and generally being outside.

I have fallen in love with the idea of living authentically, and seeking out and helping others pursue their true authentic self. It is for this reason I am pursuing my education in Psychology and hope to become a counselor some day.

I also have my Level 1 WSET Certification in Wine production and enjoy sampling both wine and beer.

Some of my favourite fiction books have been written by Maya Angelou, Jane Austen, Wally Lamb, Mark Haddon, & Margaret Atwood.
Favourite non-fiction writers include Gabor Mate, Brene Brown, C.S. Lewis (though I enjoy his fiction as well) and Tim Keller.
