I have been solo traveling on/off & living overseas for the last 6 years. I’m currently in the Philippines and would love to have a more authentic experience and meet some lovely locals in different places. Music, Movies, and Books

👸🏼Music- Not gonna lie I LOVE Taylor Swift. Like perhaps it’s obsessive, but I have no shame.
📺Movies- I definitely prefer a tv series over a movie. Really anything that’s trending on Netflix or a good doco can grab my attention generally.
📚Books- Right now I’m on a break from reading true crime books and am currently carrying a boring finance book to keep my brain from becoming mush while traveling.😂

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For myself, I got to go to the 2024 Eddie Aikau big wave invitational surf competition on the north shore of Hawai’i. The event only happens when when the swell is consistently above 30ft or more. It has only happened 11 times in the last 40 years (don’t quote me on this stuff, but it was pretty epic). But it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime event.🌊

For others, I spent a lot of time volunteering for local food pantries and beach cleanups in the last few months while I’ve been on a work break.🥪

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to practice Tagalog or Spanish and learn more about Filipino culture. I can teach you gardening, (some) mechanics, mixology, crafts, etc. My skills are all very random, but I can try to help you out with just about anything around the house or garden.🪴

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a terrible cook, not even going to lie haha. But I am extremely considerate and clean. I always leave spaces better than I found them. I would love to learn about your life and what it’s like growing up in your country and would be happy to answer any questions or share about life in Australia or the US. I think I would just be genuinely happy to share your company in whatever way that looks like, but also happy to respect your space.☺️ Right now, I don’t have a permanent home- but I anticipate living in New Zealand within the next year so perhaps I get the chance to host you there in return for your kindness!❤️
