ABOUT ME

These things are hard but I will give it a shot!
I just graduated from high school in the states and am currently an exchange student at IES Alba Longa. Full immersion! So far I have decided that I love Andalusia, with the exception of the dog poo on the streets and that sometimes the heat is a little too much for a girl born and raised in a city known for snow.
As for my personality, I would say I am bubbly, positive, excitable, and just happy to be alive. I love meeting new people (which is why I joined couchsurfing). Although sometimes I can be very gullible, I think it is just because I am just a little too trusting, even when people tell me that gullible is written on the ceiling... In high school I was involved with Mock Trial and Model United Nations so it follows that I love to debate. I would say I do a really good job respecting other opinions while in heated discussions. As a liberal in a very conservative town (just outside of Buffalo), I have had a lot of practice with that.
Next year, I will be double majoring in International Relations and Anthropology at the Honors College within American University (DC). Thus, it makes sense that I LOVE to learn about new cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sang in Hawaii with kids from all over in the world in the Pacific Rim Choral Festival!
More recently, I made a gingerbread house with Nutella. It was epic.
