About Me
Hello, my name is Harry and I work as a hotelier here in beautiful Bali. I’m truly glad to welcome you to the island!
If you have any questions or need assistance regarding Bali — whether it’s about places to visit, transportation, local customs, or anything else — please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m happy to help.
Just a small note: due to the house rules set by the room owner, I can only host male guests at the moment. I hope for your understanding.
Also, I’d like to kindly mention something that’s been a bit frustrating. Occasionally, some guests request to stay, I approve it, but then they don’t show up or cancel last minute. This ends up being unfair to other Couchsurfers who genuinely wanted to stay but couldn’t because those dates were already blocked. I really appreciate honesty and communication — it helps make the experience better for everyone.
Looking forward to connecting, and I hope you enjoy your time in Bali! 🙏
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I enjoy meeting people from around the world, sharing cultures, stories, and experiences. As someone who works in hospitality in Bali, I naturally love welcoming guests and making them feel at home. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to connect on a more personal level — not just as a host, but as a local friend who’s happy to help others experience Bali in a more meaningful and authentic way.
I also appreciate the spirit of respect, trust, and kindness that Couchsurfing promotes. Hosting isn’t just about providing a place to sleep — it’s about cultural exchange, learning from each other, and making genuine connections.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I enjoy a mix of genres — from chill acoustic and reggae to deep house and classic rock. It depends on the mood. Music helps me relax after a long day, and I always enjoy discovering new songs from different cultures.
Movies:
I love movies that make you think or feel something real — dramas, thrillers, documentaries, and sometimes good comedies. A few favorites: Into the Wild, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and The Intouchables.
Books:
I enjoy reading about personal growth, travel stories, and anything that opens the mind. Books by Paulo Coelho or simple books about life and philosophy are some of my favorites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meet a lot of friends
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I’m happy to share what I know about Balinese culture, local life, hotel and tourism industry, and daily life in Bali. I can also help with basic Indonesian phrases or tips for traveling around the island.
Learn: I’m always curious to learn about other cultures, languages, perspectives, and life stories. Every traveler brings something new, and I enjoy learning from different backgrounds and experiences.
Share: I’d love to share local recommendations, stories, good food, and simple moments. Whether it’s a walk around town, a chat over coffee, or helping you explore hidden gems in Bali — I believe sharing is what makes this platform meaningful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest, I always try to be respectful, clean, and considerate. I believe in giving back to hosts in small but meaningful ways.
I can share:
• Good conversation and stories about Bali, hospitality, and travel
• A positive attitude and a helping hand if needed
• Local knowledge, tips about Indonesia, and even teach you some basic Bahasa Indonesia
• Traditional snacks or small gifts if I have something from Bali
• A calm and peaceful presence — I’m easygoing and not demanding
I truly appreciate the generosity of hosts, and I always try to show my gratitude in any way I can.
